Princes Mall's Mother's Day Gok Wan

A fashion student from Edinburgh’s Telford College will be giving Edinburgh its answer to Gok Wan as she helps to style a winning mum for a Mother’s Day competition being held by Princes Mall Edinburgh this Mothering Sunday, 14 March 2010.

Ashley O’Neill, who is currently studying a HND in Fashion and Textiles at the College, will be assisting to style the winning mum from the wide range of fashion boutiques available at the Princes Mall, after the mother has been pampered with a makeover from the Body Shop and Regis Hairdressers.

Commenting on the opportunity to work as a stylist for the day, Ashley O’Neill said:

“I have always had a keen eye and passion for all aspects of fashion, from creative design to the finished product, so I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to cast my professional eye and help style the winning mum and make her look and feel fantastic!”

Princes Mall, situated next to Waverley Station is the only undercover shopping centre on Princes Street and caters for the style-conscious female with leading fashion retailers such as Kookai and New Look with quirky boutiques such as JOY with their fun fabrics and cutting edge labels, the lucky winner will be seriously spoilt for choice.

To enter the competition, applicants must sign up to the Princes Mall website at www.princesmall-edinburgh.co.uk and tell them in one sentence why your mum is the best in the world by 5pm on Friday 12 March 2010.

Edinburgh’s Telford College offer a range of fashion-related courses, including stitched textiles and theatre costume, print, millinery, pattern cutting and design with a purpose built textile studio where students can sharpen their skills.
